Abstract

During the verification of the electrophoretic dismantling process for a commercial vehicle product,serious quality defects were found in the electrophoretic paint film of the inner cavities of the A-pillar, B-pillar and C-pillar.The EcoatMaster electrophoretic simulation software was used to analyze the quality of electrophoretic coatings.To address the issue of paint film defects, a matrix-based combination verification scheme was adopted, which included adding electrophoretic process holes to the inner panels, setting motion vector boosting functions in the rectifier power supply and adding auxiliary anodes inside the vehicle body cabin.This approach successfully resolved the quality issues of electrophoretic paint film in the inner cavities of the A-pillar, B-pillar and C-pillar with high quality and low cost, thereby meeting the company’s product anti-corrosion quality requirements.
