Abstract

For investigating the corrosion behavior and performance changes of bending deformation stainless steel composite pipes in boiler alkali salt environment, the corrosion behavior of 304L stainless steel in 300 ℃sulfur-containing alkali salt environment was studied through analyzing the material structure, morphology and composition of corrosion products, and the influence of bending deformation on the corrosion performance of 304L stainless steel was emphatically researched. Results showed that after 48 h of testing in alkaline salt environment, the surface corrosion of 304L stainless steel was relatively mild and uneven, and the main corrosion products were Fe2O3,FeCr2O4 and FeOOH,indicating that the corrosion primarily occurred on iron and chromium elements.Bent deformation of 304L stainless steel resulted in a higher corrosion rate and thicker corrosion products, mainly due to the significant deformation of small grains and an increase in dislocations and twinning caused by bending deformation.
